Philosophy and Approach
I enjoy supporting people on their personal growth journey and believe that we each hold unique strengths and capacities for growth and change, even during times of life’s challenging moments. As we move through life, we may develop ways to cope with our environment that may serve us at that time but then later not serve us well. Counseling is a great space to explore past influences and their impact on us, and to learn new patterns that allow us to be our best self. I believe in creating a safe, nonjudgemental space to explore feelings, thoughts and previous relationship patterns that help people thrive.

I work with adult individuals who may be experiencing life transitions or feel stuck in anxiety, depression, trauma, attachment issues, anger or grief. I utilize a psychodynamic perspective that is individually focused and employ other evidence-based therapies. Therapy can be short-term or longer depending on individual needs. I work remotely using HIPPA compliant video conferencing software. For an initial consultation, there is no fee.
I studied depth psychology at Pacific Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara, California, hold a master’s degree from the University of Rochester, New York and a master’s degree in Community Counseling from Northwest Christian University in Eugene, Oregon.
I am a member of the American Counseling Association, the Oregon Counseling Association and received training to be a SoulCollage facilitator. For many years, I served on the board of the Eugene Friends of Jung.
In my free time, I practice Sogetsu Ikebana and enjoy gardening, nature walks and spending time with friends and family.
